BioGTS as nominee from Finland for the world’s leading cleantech competition

Every year altogether ten company-candidates from Finland are nominated for the international Global Cleantech Later Stage Award competition. The special focus of the competition is to provide businesses with an opportunity to network with international partners and private equity investors. This year, BioGTS has been once again selected for a high-level competition as a nominee from Finland. In 2015, BioGTS was already nominated as a candidate for Global Cleantech Later Stage Award competition in the category “bioenergy/biomaterial.

The competition is aimed at the so-called later-stage cleantech companies seeking growth in the international markets. Through this global competition, BioGTS has a great possibility to, among other things, build significant networks around the world and, at the same time, to benchmark the company’s knowledge level. Last year’s Global Cleantech Later Stage Award winner was bioenergy and biomaterials company FluidSolids from Switzerland. Besides, growth-company Wirepas was also listed among top ten cleantech companies in the international competition as the only representative from Finland.

The competition is organized for the seventh time by the world’s leading Global Cleantech Cluster Association (GCCA), which provides businesses with effective ways to reach out to potential investors, new markets and influential networks, and access to technology resources and best practices. This year the competition will be hosted in London at the end of October. The GCCA Award event is organized in conjunction with the 11th Cleantech Venture Day.
